Śurū scented candles are hand-poured using a carefully selected blend of premium ingredients. To get the most out of your Śurū scented candle, we advise to follow a few basic candle burning instructions, which will enable you to really maximise the longevity and satisfaction from your candle.

1. THE FIRST BURN

When you light your candle for the first time, ensure that you burn the candle until the wax melts across the entire surface, up to the sides of the jar - this is known as a 'meltpool'. An even meltpool will prevent tunneling on subsequent burns, and create the candle's burn memory! That's right, your candle has a memory, and it will continue to burn clean and even for the duration of the candle's life. Optimal burn time for your candle should be between 2-4 hours.

2. TRIM YOUR WICK

The importance of trimming your wicks cannot be iterated enough! Trim your wick before every burn, to a length of 3-6mm. Wick trimming will avoid any mushrooming which can eventually result in a less than appealing soot build up. Trimming your wick also prevents your flame from getting too big, and remaining calm throughout it's burn life.
